This is how Google Maps is cracking down on spamming with AI

Google Maps has introduced a new machine learning model to detect misuse, such as fake or incorrect information or scams, on its platform quickly. According to Google, this technology can identify specific visual details, such as inaccurate phone numbers overlaid on images, or websites ending in .design or .top, and remove them or disable accounts. The platform has already used the model to delete 115 million policy-breaking reviews, 200 million poor-quality photos, and seven million inappropriate videos from its site in 2022. Moreover, it has blocked 20 million suspicious Business Profiles and safeguarded 185,000 businesses after detecting suspicious content.
