Here’s how to get new Overwatch 2 PvP beta keys via email

by

The Overwatch 2 closed beta has been the talk of the Overwatch community, giving Overwatch players their first glimpse at hero reworks, new maps, and different styles of play. While not all of the feedback to Overwatch 2 has been positive, many gamers are still dying to test out the changes. Luckily there are new ways to get access to beta keys once again.

Not everyone can get into the Overwatch 2 beta. Blizzard has been providing various ways for players to get in, including handing out keys during the Overwatch League opening weekend streams. Now Blizzard is handing out fresh access again, this time via an email marketing campaign that interested and eligible players can opt into.

How to get into the Overwatch 2 PvP beta

If you watch the Overwatch League, there’s a chance you can get into the Overwatch 2 beta once again. Check your inbox for an email from the Overwatch League team if you are part of the OWL mailing list.

“Your friendly Overwatch League email team has been granted 1,000 open spots for Overwatch 2 PvP beta access,” the email reads.

How to enter for Overwatch 2 PvP beta keys:

  • Click on this link to head to your email preference center
  • Check the box next to the Overwatch 2 PvP Beta Access Sweepstakes

Luckily, it’s just that simple. In fact, it’s simpler than the previous Overwatch League beta key drops through which fans had to watch the exclusive YouTube stream. Or the time before that when hopeful participants had to watch over four hours of Overwatch 2 beta streams live on Twitch just to have a shot at a potential Overwatch 2 key drop.

How to access the Overwatch 2 beta

Once you have secured access to the beta, there are only a few steps to take to get into the Overwatch 2 beta. First, log into Blizzard’s client. After that, open the Overwatch homepage in the launcher and select the Overwatch 2 technical beta, which you’ll see in the game version drop-down menu. Then just hit “play” to start your Overwatch 2 beta journey.

And if you still haven’t gotten access, don’t worry. Signs point to Blizzard continuing to come up with more ways for fans to get involved in Overwatch 2 beta.
