Robin Scarborough, a partner at Deloitte Digital in its Sydney office, has stepped down from the firm’s partnership to take on a new challenge.
With five years of experience in the insurance industry under his belt, Robin Scarborough joined – in his words – a “scrappy, start-up innovation consultancy” in London in 2010. This firm was Market Gravity, a company that specialised in the development of new propositions and products, bringing together capabilities from the worlds of design thinking, innovation, creative and technology.
“When I joined Market Gravity, I could never have dreamed of where that decision would take me. It has been truly life changing on a professional and personal level in so many ways,” he stated in a post on LinkedIn. The journey saw him promoted to partner at the innovation consultancy, then co-selling the firm to Deloitte Digital in 2018, after which he relocated to Australia to help grow Deloitte Digital’s Aussie division.
Down under for three years now, “I am very fortunate to be able to call Sydney my family’s home, and have had an awesome few years working with clients and colleagues here.”
Over the course of his 10+ years at the two consulting firms, “I’ve been lucky enough to work with many amazing clients around the world, helping them with their customer and digital initiatives, and creating exciting new products, services and ventures for their customers. All while working with the most incredible, talented group of people.”
Most recently a partner in the Customer Strategy & Experience Design team at Deloitte Digital, he specialises in new proposition and venture design for both B2C and B2B businesses. He has worked across sectors, with corporate clients in the financial services, insurance, energy and automotive sectors.
Currently “taking a short break” and travelling around in New South Wales, Scarborough will later this month embark on his next adventure. “I’m going back to my scrappy roots to start work on a new venture – more on that soon!”
